Rex Fifth Avenue rectangular faux guilloche and enamel compact. Genuine engine turn work on the top and the brass bottom; top of case is covered with a green tinted (?) plastic. Very difficult to tell if there is real enameling or not, but the plastic top probably indicates no true enameling underneath. Darker green painted enamel border, and a gold metal bas relief roping decoration in between. The top has a center decoration of tiny painted stylized leaves with wear at the center. The interior mirror is intact and has dark spots on either end. The powder compartment has original puff marked Rex Fifth Avenue New York. Interior is in excellent condition except for clouding of mirror. Measures 3" long by 2" wide. $5.00 for US insured Priority shipping for as many compacts as you purchase.
