"The I Hate To Cook Book" by Peg Bracken, illustrations by Hilary Knight. First Edition, 1960 Harcourt,, Brace & World, Inc., 176 pages. It is signed by author with inscription to previous owner "With Many good Wishes to Laura Doyle! Peg Bracken November 3, 1962". The Ex Libris bookplate is a wonderful and fanciful depiction of a flower, butterfly & bee plus more and states owners name "Laura Marie Henry". Excellent clean & tight copy with no flaws. Dust Jacket is covered in Mylar for protection. Owner's almost invisible impression on first end paper. This book is ever increasing in value as well as being a classic favorite of cooks everywhere! It is enhanced in value because of the lovey bookplate and Peg Bracken's signature (she just recently passed away). NOTE: I have a copy of "Appendix to the I Hate To Cook Book" that is not yet listed. I will send photos if interested.
