This vintage mid-century plate is in excellent condition without any flaws other than some wear from age on the copper bottom. It is 10" diameter. Deep turquoise in color with black outlining the cat. The cat's eyes are protruding dark blue turquoise enamel and add a wonderful dimension to this modern piece. Big art plate is 10 1/2" diameter. It depicts a huge, fat, black cat on white body pottery plate. Signed on back "K.D." I believe this plate dates to early 1980's. There is a closed crack on the left front just below eye level (see photo; I'm pricing accordingly). The plate is not at all falling apart; the closed crack is about 2" long & not very noticeable. This piece is not practical to use for food but it is fine for display. I love the whimsy of this piece.

The frame is wood and has a brass hanger on top. The glass is secured with framers nails but can easily be removed. The outside measurements are 7 3/4" x 9 3/4". The inside artwork measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". It would look great with vintage tablecloths or other items depicting cherry motifs.
