"The Miff Tree - A Pictorial Sermon"; Rev. A. S. Gumbart; 1888 This may be the same A. Gumbart as the Baptist minister who had connections in Boston, Brooklyn, N. Y., and Belle Island, Ct.

This is a facetious piece portraying various church personalities within the congregation. Human frailties such as conceit, power, gossip, & arrogance are explained through each of the 14 birds.

Condition overall is good with some wear, minor small tears. A most unusual and scarce piece. In 35 years I have only seen one other example for sale
