SOLD 1920s Plein Aire Painting Maine Way Down East by American Lady Painter Grace Fitzpatrick

This is a beautiful painting in the original period frame circa 1910s to 20s. It is a very nice landscape seascape in great colors and appears to be Plein Aire though we are not sure. It has a label on the verso reading Way Down East Timber Island Maine by Grace Fitzpatrick in the artists hand. Then it is signed on the painting lower left G.M. Fitzpatrick. Grace Marie Fitzpatrick 1897 – Brooklyn New York. Well listed painter craftswoman and a pupil of H. Speakman, B. Eggleston, and Snell. The painting measures 8 x 10 inches without frame and with 11.5 x 13.5 inches. The painting is in excellent condition as is the frame, the old backing paper is loose and rough. A beautiful piece of American art by a hard to find lady and a wonderful view of Maine.
