This is a beautiful pair of antique, late 1800s, 19th century, opera glasses. They are housed in ornate detailed sterling silver, marked Sterling and many small hallmarks I can not read. On the lenses it reads Margand Ft. Paris. The lenses have a mother of pearl surround. The Glasses themselves work beautifully magnifying and adjusting well. They measure 4 x 3 x 1.5 inches. They have not been polished and on the two smooth shields where your thumbs rest the silver has a few small dents, very minor. Overall in excellent condition and gorgeous.
