This is another Maurice Sendak Book. This is "In The Night Kitchen". It is a great story of a child dreaming of flying to the Milky Way. A story of a child’s wonderful imagination. This was one of our daughter’s favorites. The copyright is 1970 and I think it is a 1st Edition. It only has the 1 copyright date on it, it does not state 1st Edition. This book comes with the original dust jacket; which has 5 small tears on the top edge. The book itself is in mint condition with crisp pages and no tears or writing on them. The Dimensions of the book are 11 1/4” by 8 3/4”. In 1970 this book was given the Best Books, Outstanding Children’s books and Best Illustrated Children’s Books as well as the Carey-Thomas Award – Honor Citation. In 1971 it received the Caldecott honor award.
