This is truly a RARE FIND. It is The New Fun With Dick & Jane. It is the 1956 hard cover edition. These books were featured in the 1997 Summer edition of Collectibles Flea Market Finds, page 54 to 58. It is in MINT CONDITION, NEVER USED! This is “The New Basic Readers Collection”. Pre-Primers from the 1950’s series all begin with “The New”. This wonderful book has 4 sections in it, Fun For Sally, Fun with Pets and Toys, Fun at the Farm, and Fun with our Friends. All the pages are crisp and free of folds, writing or any other type of marks (other than the 2 marks I have listed below). The hard cover has a little shelf wear with a few smudges on it but no tears. THIS BOOK WAS NEVER READ! It has a total of 160 pages. It has a Teachers section, which makes me wonder if it is a Teachers Edition. Under the Vocabulary List the word CAT has a check next to it in ink and the word hen has a dot next to it in ink. These are the only marks inside this book. It was found packed in a box from my Mother-in-Law’s school teaching days. Be sure to examine all photos carefully. I have not taken to many photos of the inside because I did not want to open the book that far.
