Ilias Lalaounis is an internationally renowned gentleman, artist and jewelry designer. In 1993 he founded the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens Greece and is the first museum for contemporary jewelry in the world. Some of his beautiful designs have been worn by the world's most beautiful women, including a favorite client of his: Jackie Kennedy. This beautiful one of a kind design was part of his Nature collection and created personally by him in 1975 in his shop. The markings are the ones only he used to identify his work from his other helpers. It is 18 karat gold with stunning pieces of rock crystal. The design has Venus Comb Murex shells holding the rocks, with beautiful detail to each. The neck piece simply slides onto your neck and hangs down. It is a one of a kind piece - there are no others like it. It measures 16" and the rock pieces are 1-1/2" by 1". It is in perfect condition. The signature plate is Ilias Lalaounis' personal signature with A21 and the Greek marking for 18 karat (750). This was personally designed by Ilias and handcrafted by him. One of the few pieces which does not reside in his museum. Extremely rare.
