Vintage Western Freight Toy Train Set Complete in Box, 1960-70's

Wonderful old freight train set in the box and complete! I guesstimate this to be 1960-70’s vintage.

This comes complete with the tracks, engine, silver tender car, black coal car and the red caboose. All pieces have their Central Pacific Railways stickers on both sides, except for the caboose which only has a sticker on one side.

Box states: Western Freight Train Set, Battery Operated with Smoke, Head Light and Chug Chug sound. This was distributed by Perry Distributing of Pontiac, Michigan, and Made in Hong Kong. Box shows some wear, bumping at edges, etc. but it’s all there and has no rips or tears.

This takes two “C” batteries and it started right up when we played with it---it made puffs of smoke and chugging sounds as it moves --- it scared the cat as it went zooming across the living room floor. What a great toy!
