Welcome to my shop! I have experience with pottery, books (and cats) and hope I can help you find what you're looking for!
Blow molded celluloid toys were made in the 1920’s and 1930’s mainly in the U.S. and Japan. The process resulted in finely detailed, hollow, delicate pieces.
This little colorful Indian is strung thru his arms and head. The stringing is very loose.
Measurements: 4” long x 1-1/2” across.
Condition: There is one hole at tip of canoe at top, along with a “pushed-in” spot to front edge and crack along back seam of canoe. Neither of these should stop this canoe from floating however!
Coloring to this great little Indian is very nice, from his white headdress, blue shirt and yellow paddle to the peach-shading-to-orange on his boat with it’s green trim.
This is a rather rarer piece -- and a great little vintage celluloid Indian for your collection!
As always, thanx for shopping Katiques, and please take the time to see my happy customer testimonials on my "about me" page!
