I fell in love with the spirited artisan lampwork focal bead that takes center stage in this piece. I love it for its combination of colors, its whimsical patterns and the ruffles formed on both ends of the bead. It makes me think of Can-Can dancers and pot de chocolats and other things French .... In designing the necklace I decided to play off the colors used in the focal, primarily using Peruvian blue chalcedony rondelles with deep black obsidian rondelles. They are asymmetrically arranged and spaced with rosey Swarovski crystals and sterling Bali beads. A rosey pink cubic zirconia stone is hand-wired and becomes an off-beat pendant below the focal. An unusual one-of-a-kind piece sure to turn heads wherever you go.
