Wrap yourself in the glorious color purple, the color of royalty, of empires, the color that evokes majesty and mystery. This 40 inch necklace explores purple in all its shades and hues, from delicate lilac to playful fuchsia to deep, rich aubergine.

For my latest chain-link necklace I started with lampwork beads from artisan Kathrin Kneidl. Kathrin loves to experiment while at the torch, and these beads have tiny paper decals embedded in the glass. You'll also find lampwork from at least five other artisans. The lampwork is surrounded by a generous sampling of gemstones: deep purple amethysts in several sizes and shapes; delicately colored fat pink amethyst rounds; lilac amethyst rondelles; mystic tanzanite quartz cubes; smoky quartz and cultured freshwater pearls. Pretty embossed silver beads complete the look.

A richly textured and deeply colored piece with ornate details; definitely not for shrinking violets!
