I have always loved sunflowers! Perhaps it's because, here in the northeast, they bloom during the first week of August, which is also when my birthday occurs.

And who can look at a sunflower without feeling cheered, without smiling just a bit?

These earrings are a particularly happy pair, with some fabulous "bubbled" artisan lampwork in a smoky amber shade. The lampwork rests on petals of 97.5 sterling silver from the Hill Tribes in Thailand. The sunflower "stem" is composed of hessonite nuggets that have been crowned with sparkling mandarin garnets. All other components are quality sterling silver.

These oh-so-happy sunflowers will bloom about 2 inches from your piercing.
