Something you hang from the gutters on your house and the rain falls down it and it looks pretty ...." That is the explanation the salesperson in the artsy little store in Rhinebeck, NY, gave me when I asked her what an interesting item hanging in the shop was and what it was for.

Hmmmmmmm. A collection of rings and chains and other small charms and niceties the ultimate purpose of which is to look pretty. And that's how I came up with the idea for a series of miniature rain chains to be worn just to look pretty on your neck, your lobes and your wrists.

These earrings are made with sterling silver chains, with beautiful rain-blue artisan lampwork rings connected to Karen Hill Tribe hammered sterling silver squares, and with sterling silver components.

Lightweight & nicely sized for easy, unobtrusive wear even on short-haired women.

Lobe descent: about 2 1/2 inches from your piercing.

Simply to look pretty. And, if you're caught in the rain, the drops will trickle down their length.
