Czech Art Deco Necklace Lapis Blue Marbled Glass

Signed Czech 1920s Art Deco Necklace ~ This medallion necklace is made of old Bohemian marbled lapis blue glass. This particular type of glass was made in blue, green and red and is very uncommon to find in old Czech jewelry. These beads were also all hand molded, twisted on the end of a lamp workers rod. If you inspect each bead closely you can see the beads were tooled with the lamp workers finger tips while the glass was cooling. The medallion is a unique art deco design made of brass that was plated with silver metal. It has unique blue enameled partitions with large and small dangling blue glass beads. The strands of marbled blue beads has round and tube shapes with metal flower bell caps on the largest beads. The chain and components are made of brass that was silver gilted, with a silver and aged brass patina. Next to the clasp is a small brass ring with a signature that reads "Czechoslov" on each side. The necklace is 20" long and the medallion is 3/4" long by 1" wide. This distinctive 1920s Czech necklace is most certainly one Czech collectors can appreciate.
