Vintage Hattie Carnegie Enameled Feather Heron Brooch

A stunning piece of vintage Hattie Carnegie that is so amazing being the only signed piece of its kind that we have ever had. The brooch is the famous heron which is made up of a gorgeous gold tone metal making up the foundation and long legs of this special creature. The head is made up of a navy blue plastic which has pave set rhinestones and red enamel for head feathers. The body is made up of a white plastic that has pave set white rhinestones and the same red enamel for feathers folding over the center body. Below the body section are 8 green rhinestones leading into two skinny legs that stand on a branch for the perch. The branch is also accented by white rhinestones that look gorgeous. The back has a long pin and clasp and the signature "Hattie Carnegie" is within an oval cartouche on the back as well. The heron measures 3" long by 1 1/4" wide and has no damage to the plastic, enamel, or metal and no missing stones either. It is also the only signed heron I have come across that can finally give proof that the heron is a Hattie piece. A great Hattie Carnegie heron brooch.
