Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
All items are expertly packed and insured. Shipments are packed to give the buyer absolutely NO worries about carrier theft or pilferage, as the return address gives the shop-owners name rather than the business name, and no insurance stamps or stickers give any clues as to the valuable contents. Buyer pays shipping, handling and insurance.

Note:Closed dome doll heads are generally removed from the body and packed carefully to protect the eyes during shipment. If you prefer the head NOT be removed, please request this when you order.

If you are interested in an item that is listed without a shipping estimate, it is likely an over-size package; I prefer to email estimates on these packages rather than use the calculator.

Shipments are typically sent: Domestic via First Class, Priority, or Express Mail. FedEx or UPS are available upon request (requires a re-calculation of shipping costs). International packages are typically shipped via Global Express, however other options are International First Class, International Air Parcel Post, or Global Priority. The only International shipment method with tracking is Global Express. Shoppers assume all risk of packages shipped without insurance and / or tracking.

If you have comments regarding shipping rates or wish to request a certain carrier or shipment class, please feel free to email me directly. If you are interested in an item without a shipping calculator, please email your zip code and request an estimate and mention if you have a carrier preference. If you believe the shipping calculator or fixed shipping cost to be in error, please email me to ask for confirmation of the estimate. Note: Recent postal increases are based on a combination of package size and weight, which has resulted in significant postal increases on large packages regardless of weight.

Shipment: I ship on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Your item will be mailed after verified clearance of your Personal or Business check (please allow 15 banking days) and after actual funding of PayPal "E-Check" (please allow 5 banking days).

If you pay with money orders or credit cards, your item will be mailed on the next mailing day following receipt of clear funds in our accounts. PayPal and all credit card purchases will be shipped to verified/confirmed credit card billing addresses ONLY; please ensure that you give the correct shipping address on your Ruby Lane purchase order.

Please note that if you give a PO Box for shipping and/or contact information, I must ask for your physical address, which will allow me to locate you should something go awry with your order during shipment or if there is an issue with payment.

Restocking Fee:
Restocking fees are not charged when purchases are paid for with checks, money orders, or PayPal. A restocking fee will be charged ONLY on purchases paid for with MC/VISA/DISCOVER in the amount of the actual bank charges incurred. These bank charges vary from 2.5% to 4.45% for the sale and again for the refund. Example: On a purchase of $100 by an International customer, the bank may charge $8.90 for the combined sale/refund. In addition, merchants are not able to estimate what these charges may be until they receive their monthly statement from their merchant bank. Fees vary based on the type of card, whether or not the card earns "reward points", and whether or not the CVV code and address match what is given by the cardholder at the time of the sale. PayPal payments are exempt from this fee when refunds are made within 60 days of the initial payment. Please note that this fee is not charged in the unlikely event that I missed a hairline, crack, or repair in a bisque or china head and failed to describe it in the text of my listing. In this case I would absorb the fees because of my error. Layaways are subject to a Layaway Agreement and have their own Terms of Sale; please ask to review my Layaway Agreement via email prior to finalizing a layaway plan.

Other Information:
ITEM STATUS is constantly updated. When a buyer clicks to purchase an item, a "sale pending" tag is automatically placed to ensure that another buyer cannot purchase your item. Listed items are available to any buyer who clicks on the "purchase" button and follows through with the sale; please understand that items are not on hold while you are asking questions or otherwise considering a purchase. All sales are "first come first served". If we have negotiated a different price on an item, this price is good for 24 hours only and will be considered "final sale". If you purchase after the 24 hour period has expired, the posted pricing will prevail. I reserve the right to block or cancel an order or refuse service for any reason without prior notice.

SPECIALS and SALE EVENTS will always exclude the items on my "newly listed" pages, unless my sale/special event notices state otherwise. These are typically items listed within the last ten days.

DOLL STANDS: I stock used doll stands in various sizes from tiny to very large. In most cases, these are the older, heavier stands that hold your dolls more securely than the newer ones. Prices are based on size and availability; I will discount when you buy 5 or more. Stock is very low on the large and extra large stands, so please inquire to be sure I have what you need.

DOMESTIC CUSTOMERS: Acceptable forms of payment include Mastercard, VISA, Discover, and PayPal (due within 48 hours of order); we also accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks (due within 7 days of order). Items will be held in "sale pending" status until the expiration of the payment due date; if payment is not received within the designated time frame and request for extension is not approved, the item will be returned to available inventory without notice and will be subject to purchase by others. Personal and business checks must clear prior to shipment (please allow up to 3 weeks); money orders, cashier's checks, and PayPal Electronic Check payments ensure shipment of your item on the day following receipt of funds in our accounts. PayPal and all credit card purchases are shipped to verified credit card billing addresses ONLY; to avoid any delay, please ensure that you give the correct shipping address on your purchase order.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Acceptable forms of payment include International Money Order in US Funds and International PayPal to PayPal approved countries. Money orders are due within 10 days of order; PayPal is due within 48 hours of order. If you believe that a longer time is necessary to get payment to us, please let us know; we will accommodate reasonable requests. CUSTOMS FORMS will bear factual information about your purchases; please do not ask us to falsify customs information. International buyers are responsible for taxes, tariffs, duties, or other charges levied against their purchases by the country the item is shipped to.

CO residents pay 6.9% sales tax, or provide a signed CO resale tax certificate with payment.

Returned checks or checks requiring special handling due to insufficient funds or stop payments, will bear a $35 fee.
