Stunning and Rare, early parian doll manufactured by the Conte & Boehme Porcelain Factory, Germany, circa 1860s.

This doll is a petite 10" tall, perfect for cabinet size collections or for a larger doll to hold. She has long blonde curls which fall to her shoulders and are arranged in a black snood with gold painted and molded flowers with tassels, and a raised molded and painted blue tiara.

Shoulder head is of the highest quality and represents early production from this prestigious factory. The face is beautifully and deeply molded and decorated with deep blue eyes with deeply molded eyelids. She has black lash lines and brown brows, and accented nostrils, lips, and eye corners; her cheeks are evenly blushed. Her hair is beautifully modeled with deep comb marks and center part with hair waved away from the forehead and falling into cascades of curls about the face.

Her original cloth body is sawdust stuffed and has parian lower limbs including beautiful russet colored flat-soled boots with black decorations on them.

She is dressed in her original embroidered lace gown over layers of lace embellished undergarments. The clothing is all somewhat darkened by age, but I detected no deterioration to the fabrics at all.

Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs to the obviously all original doll and costume.

Lovely cabinet sized beauty ready to be displayed and extra RARE in this small size.
