Final Offering Sale Price ~ Unusual bonnet head parian doll, 16" tall, circa 1860s, with desirable black hair with a light glaze and a yellow and blue patterned head piece or bonnet. Manufactured by the Alt, Beck & Gottschalck,Porcelain Factory, Nauendorf/Thuringia, Germany.

Shoulder plate has a deeply modeled blouse with rows of shirring and raised sleeve heads, and a raised beaded necklace with cross pendant with gold painted detailing.

The facial features show early out of the mold sharpness and display superior artistry in the painted details. She has deeply set eyes painted shades of blue with black lash lines and red lid lines, accented nostrils and mouth with up-turned corners in a gentle smile.

She is on a cloth body with very fine lower limbs of parian with painted blue boots that match her costume.

Her costume is expertly made to match her bonnet and includes sleeves that match the design of her molded shoulder plate, a black wool felt bodice with gold color metallic accents and lacing, a blue skirt and a yellow apron, over layers of beautifully lace-trimmed undergarments.

Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs; no damage to body or costume.

Exceptionally fine example in a desirable rare bonnet head parian lady doll.
