Choice Alt, Beck, Gottschalck German Fashion Doll, 15" tall, on original kid body with bisque arms and beautifully costumed. Marks: "639 - #8" on back plate.

Pale creamy bisque of the shoulder head with multi-stroke brows in the French tradition, evenly shaped almond eye cuts with outlining and individually painted eyelashes both above and below her set brown glass eyes. She has red eye corner accents and nostril accents, and the lips are dramatically peaked and have shiny glaze on the darker separating line. Her head is dramatically turned to her right and is tilted slightly down, giving her a gentle and demure appearance. Her vintage mohair wig adds to the drama and suits her beautifully.

She is on her original kid gusset jointed body with bisque lower arms. We did not remove her costume as it is so beautiful and is stitched on, however, we do know there are no sawdust leaks and there are patches on the backs of both knees. We have displayed photos showing the bottom half of the body.

Her gown is vintage, with the front section of ruched chiffon silk and beads being an antique accent. Perhaps the front was part of her original gown and the rest added to preserve it. She has antique undergarments as well.

Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, repairs, or rubs to the beautiful bisque. Some patching to the kid body as shown.

This beautiful German fashion has a sweet, angelic expression, and her costume is a perfect compliment to her softly blushed, pale bisque.
