Leather gusset-jointed lady body with beautiful, long kid arms with separately stitched fingers.
Dressed in antique black silk costume over lace-trimmed undergarments, leather shoes. There is some wear to the silk but it is barely noticeable due to the color.
No chips, cracks, or repairs to the bisque head. Some neat leather patches on the body; no sawdust leaks.
Marked "919 No. 8" on the lower back shoulder plate, circa 1870s,
Very rare model from the early lady series which competed with the French Market. The doll has a beautiful and captivating expression.

There has been considerable interest in this doll with questions as to whether or not this is a Simon & Halbig or ABG. I have reference book information to share if attribution is in question.
