She has very pale, creamy smooth bisque with long squarish cheeks, deeply set paperweight eyes in blue with outlined irises and spiral threading. Her eye cuts are deep and even with outlining and dramatically painted individual eyelashes. Her brown brows are flat and not molded like the later dolls, and they have dramatically painted brush strokes or individual eyebrow hairs on the upper edges. Her nostrils and eye corners have red accents and her lips are open with five upper teeth.
She has an extremely high forehead with a very small pate opening, another indication of an earlier doll designed for the French market. Her shoulder plate has no factory markings.
She is on her original kid rivet hinged body with pale bisque lower arms.
Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs to the bisque head or arms. There are a few small and tidy leather patches made many many years ago. There are no leaks or problems.
She is dressed in a newer matched set of white summer garments including a ruched and lace trimmed dress over a one-piece matching undergarment and slip. She has white ribbed stockings and vintage German shoes. Her antique hat is decorated with paper flowers and suits her beautifully.
A lovely early German bisque doll with superior bisque and modeling with stunning deeply set paperweight eyes, beautifully dressed and ready for display in your collection.
