Final Offering Sale Price ~ Incredible Bargain well below book value ~ Circa 1885 marked Handwerck child doll with perfect bisque socket head, sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, multi-stroke brows, open mouth, and pierced ears. Exceptional artistry of modeling and facial detailing. Head is incised: 119 - 13 // HANDWERCK // 5 // Germany. Pretty long high quality wig is a replacement.

Original fully ball-jointed composition body has a light professional repaint and typical wear as shown in our photos.

Perfect head with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

The doll is beautifully dressed in a lovely pink dotted Swiss dress with lavish lace detailing. There are a few areas of wear in the lace and a very light discoloration on the right shoulder that will probably soak out. Otherwise, she wears a pretty lace bonnet and vintage pantaloons, socks and shoes.

Book Value in this size is $900 - $1,000.
