Our gorgeous Jumeau French Fashion doll, poupee peau, 13” tall, c1870s, on beautiful signed Jumeau body is a sight to behold. This one definitely has it all with her luminous bisque, outstanding body and wig, and sweet and elegant expression.

Gorgeous Jumeau French bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate, both incised with the number “3”, blue glass paperweight eyes, lavishly painted upper and lower eye lashes, brown feathered thick brows, closed mouth with accented lips, accented nostrils and eye corners, pierced ears, beautiful fancy brunette mohair wig over cork pate.

French Jumeau kid poupee body with shapely torso and legs is in exceptionally fine condition as shown, with a few pin-pricks on the torso which is typical from well over 100 years of being dressed and undressed.

Beautifully costumed in her silk and lace gown with extravagantly long and elegant pleated train. She has antique lace trimmed undergarments, black silk stockings with a few tiny holes, and someone has made her a pair of black silk slippers with rosettes which are stitch-tacked to the stockings.

Marked "3" on head and shoulders, and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" (body stamp).

Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs to the bisque head and plate; body especially fine and clean with no leaks, patches, or repairs.
