Final Offering Sale Price~ Beautifully tailored French Fashion doll gown, circa 1860-1870, with included slip, buttons down the front and has a long train. Collar and cuffs are lace-trimmed, as is the bottom of the slip which also has a train.

This gown is made of cream colored fabric, with long sleeves, high neckline, and narrow waist; The elbows have ease tucks and the front has deep bodice shaping for a perfect lady-like fit.

Condition is very good overall, with only two areas where rust from a doll stand has deteriorated the fabric (not unusual for fashion doll garments as they were seldom moved when displayed). Someone has added a fray-check solution on these areas to disguise them and to stop any possibility of further damage. All buttons and buttonholes are in tact. No other tears, holes or stains to report.

Our model form is a bit too large for the top to button, but still aids in showing the dimensional grace of the garment. Measurements: length from shoulder to front hem 12-1/2"; shoulder to train hem in back 18-1/2"; across shoulders in back 3-5/8"; bust 9-1/8"; waist 6-3/4"; sleeve 4-1/4" at underarm seam.
