Final Offering Sale Price ~ Lovely larger Kestner & Co. china head lady doll, 20 inches tall, circa 1860s.

Lovely large china shoulder head doll with Civil War era hairstyle with center part and clusters of curls. Facial features are beautifully molded with defined eyelids, nose, nostrils, philtrum and mouth. Painted features include shaded blue eyes, black lash lines, red lid lines, accented nostrils, eye corners, and lips. Lips have a white separation between them and a darker red separating line along the bottom of the top lip.

Original cloth body has been recovered some time ago with new muslin. It retains it's hard sawdust stuffing and has vintage replacement china lower arms. Lower legs are porcelain in the correct style with black painted and molded boots and brown molded and painted stockings.

Doll is dressed in antique pantaloons, blue organdy slip, and taffeta gown.

Excellent condition with only minor wear to the raised china areas as shown. No chips, cracks, or repairs.

Lovely circa 1860s china is ready to display.
