Final Offering Sale Price ~ Early German all china ‘Bathing Doll’ known as ‘Badekinder’ and dubbed “Frozen Charlotte / Frozen Charlie” by collectors. China bathing dolls with molded clothes are significantly harder to find than the naked ones, as they were made in significantly fewer numbers.

One piece glazed porcelain doll, in a very tiny 2-1/8” tall size, has unusual longer molded hair and very well defined features.

Condition: Excellent; right foot has a tiny edge flake on the underside of what would be one toe. The back side of the doll shows has the usual unglazed spots, which is typical of these little dolls whose glaze did not adhere to the parts that lay in the kiln during firing. The back is incised with a size number not entirely legible, but looks like "1/4".
