Rare to find, all original china head doll, 8-1/2" tall, in original presentation box and with written provenance from 1952.

Absolutely stunning doll and factory original costume which is lavishly decorated.

China shoulder head with pale pink tint and with black sculpted hair with curls around the face, painted features, original muslin body with porcelain limbs.

The doll is presented in her original factory box and is wearing a gorgeous factory-original gown trimmed with lace, silk flowers, and silver tone beads.

Germany, circa 1895, in excellent near mint condition. The doll itself has no chips, cracks, or repairs. The front of the gown is lightly faded, only noticeable when she is turned over where the back is a more vivid pink. It is likely she has always been in the box. Box has split corners as shown.

Letter correspondence from 1952 from the seller of the doll who advertised in "Hobbies" magazine, gives some background and thanks the purchaser for her business.
