Final Offering Sale Price ~ Beautiful antique toy horse in incredible pristine condition, German made circa 1880 - 1900. Horse is wooden with hide covering in a palomino shade of hair with black mane and tail. Muzzle is exposed wood painted brown, with black painted wooden hooves. Wonderful early German Zebra, estimated circa 1880s, with silky smooth fur with dyed zebra stripes, over carved wooden body structure. When the fur is stroked across the nap, you can see that the fur is not striped all the way to the hide base, so we determined the stripes were brushed on with dye. There is no change in texture over the stripes, so the effect is very realistic.
