Here is a wonderful old doll chair that is made of a bent reed material with a woven seat over a wooden board. Made with nails and natural materials and a few early staples. You will love the scrolled design at the sides and the way the back is designed with loops. It stands about 10" high and the seat is 4" x 4"...perfect for so many dolls! I believe it to be from the 20s or 30s era. Originally the bottom of the legs were encased in a basket like twine but only one is still intact...2 of the other bottoms have been long ago wrapped in twine as a repair, one remains bare. There is also a red ribbon along one arm...I believe this was added to protect the arm from fraying....the other arm shows some roughness at same area. Another thing I just noticed is that one downpiece is missing from front...honestly, I think this is such a great chair that even with it's imperfections, it is a unique and rare find. You will love it and so will dolly...still quite sturdy yet dainty looking.
