Here is a wonderful antique mat or pad in those much loved browns and blues of the late 1800s. This came out of an old doctor’s estate and was lovingly stored away all these years. Pristine condition! It measures 28” long by 18” wide and is made up of hand stitched 3” squares of colorful checks and plaids. The reverse is tan fabric and has been stitched together with a loose quilt stitch. This could have been made for several purposes…for use in a crib, stroller, cradle or perhaps on the piano bench! It could also be framed and hung on the wall as antique artwork...truly worthy...you won’t find a nicer antique piece than this and it comes to you from a Mennonite family of Lancaster Co. Pa.
