Here is a wonderful old tin that measures 9" x 7" x 4 1/2" and is lithographed with a wonderful Bluebird on the top and inside the lid. There are also "brass look" decorations on the corners and around the lock area...these are also lithos. There is a remnant of a paper label on the inside of the lid that says "Rum & Butter" which indicated the flavor of candy. The maker was Harry Vincent Ltd. of Hunnington near Birmingham England. The tins marked in this manor were from the 1930s to the 50s with those with hinged lids being earlier...this one has the hinged lid. Probably used in a candy store. It is in nice condition with normal wear and some slight bending inside at back top edge where it meets the lid...a great piece for show in your tin collection!
