A necklace for the free spirit! Bold in color and unique in design, this necklace will be a showpiece worn either as a choker or at a longer length over a garment. An asymmetrical and layered design really create a stunning accent! Five strands of sterling silver, porcelain beads and leather reduce to three strands, then to one in this unique necklace. The foundation of the piece is a sterling silver "wave" spacer bar - a gorgeous piece of sterling, a beautiful curve, yet a very solid piece. I just love the look of polished silver with red, so I used red porcelain beads from the artists at Clay river in squares, rounds, and ovals. The red beads are edged with just a bit of distressing, so I added in some grey/green squares to pick up that color and break up the red a bit. The sterling is a wonderful mix of rounds, melons, rondelles, unique cone shapes, and one "pinched square", all in bright polished silver, all solid and seamless. The design of the piece makes just a gorgeous statement of asymmetrical art at the neckline. The colors are bold, yet simple and with the polished sterling, the design of the piece is accented by the beads and vice versa. A sterling silver chain at the back will adjust the necklace from 15" to 18". To offer a complete ensemble, I've added in a great pair of earrings to coordinate. Flat curves of sterling silver are accented with the same porcelain in the necklace. Hung on French wires, the drop on these is 1 1/4". The perfect contemporary accents to this necklace!!!
