I find it really fascinating that they were not conceived as ethnic headvases, someone actually had the idea to design lovely white young ladies playing dress up in ethnic costumes and likely, IF the market for headvases would have continued as strong as it was in the 1950's and 1960"s, more than likely we would have more countries represented, wearing wonderful detailed costumes to be able to collect and enjoy.

The very fact that not many were produced, makes this set not only absolutely beautiful, but also extremely special to have for one's own private mini or maxi gallery.

The Costume Ladies have to be one of the most sought out SETS in the whole collection. They are magic as a group, they are fabulous individually, they really are special, a very unique, colourful and detailed set.

They are ALL, extremely hard to come by, some a bit more than others, this gorgeous model is very seldom seen, specially as amazing as this particular one. The detail on this lady is just absolutely exquisite. Creates a mood of extreme elegance, all of her own!

Absolutely fabulous condition, no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no color losses, no problems whatsoever. Her 24 KT Gold fan is intact. Clean, clean clean, was never used, one could actually call her MINT. Her make up is exquisite and has that wonderful, flawless, TRANSLUCENT COMPLEXION.

Measures 5-3/4" in height, stamped on the bottom E 1611, Inarco, Cleve Ohio, dated 1964..Also retains her Inarco foil label.
