This whimsical rosy Teddy Bear is the first bear by artist Marianne Meisel, who learned her craft from her father-- Richard Steiff! From thousands of Mrs. Meisel's works, Steiff selected a painting of a warm rose mohair bear dappled with flowers as inspiration for a very special limited edition. Steiff's lead designer, Dietmar Simon, worked with this painting on his desktop to bring the bear to huggable life. The large wine colored eyes are specially toned with felt backs. As Richard believed that flowers should be placed with bears and he used felt in his designs, the Steiff Club paid homage to him by having Marianne’s flowers be of hand rolled felt, centered with beads. No devoted collector should be without this bear! This edition is limited to the production year of 2007. She is 15.75" tall.
