SOLD Antique Felt Doll made by Alma 12"

Offered is a tagged 12" ALMA felt flapper doll in a blue felt with cream and camel trimmed 3 piece costume with matching shoes. The doll has a label under the front bottom edge of it's tunic. Alma was an Italian maker that competed with Lenci and also made very high quality dolls. I find Alma dolls even less frequently than Lenci, perhaps not as many were exported to the US. This doll has a blond bob . Her tiny brown side glancing eyes have 2 white eye dots, black centers, lighter brown highlights, brown liner and 3 lashes in the upper eye corner. Her mouth is dark raspberry with distinct peaked upper lips. Her nose dots are the same shade. She has mitt hands with separate thumbs and stitched fingers. She is jointed at the neck, hips and shoulders. Her stockings are ecru ribbed cotton. Her cloche hat has a camel button on top. Her shoes are blue trimmed at edges with camel. The right one only has a cream felt ornament. The right shoe has moth damage near the back and on the sole. There are a dozen or so little moth nips over the costume as shown. The costume colors are still well preserved with the back brighter than the front probably due to display. She is a very appealing little doll very reminiscent of the 1920s.
