Darling 8" "Peter" Mold 101 in the treasured Kammer & Reinhardt character series. Head is by Simon & Halbig, the premier German porcelain factory, The head is perfect bisque with intaglio eyes and closed mouth. His painting presents a soft and impressionistic character with a dreamy expression. Desirable fully jointed composition body that is unusual in this smallest size and is in near mint condition.
Peter is costumed in an antique sailor suit with his original blond mohair wig. This little character has the appealing realistic expression with much personality that typifies the best of the German character movement. Circa 1909. Sought after size and an antique costume make him particularly desirable to add to your collection. For fun, I paired him with a vintage Steiff Bully.
