Gebruder Kuhnlenz was a German dollmaker in the 19th century who made a variety of small bisque head, composition body dolls. One of his most sought after by doll collectors is this Black Mammy with her charge a little white baby. This is the best set I have seen and a wonderful example of this pair. The baby is a small all-bisque doll with a blonde wig and tiny crocheted cap and long lace trimmed gown. Mammy is 6” all original and in mint condition.
