Vermeil chain necklace with natural Quartz Stones

This 30" necklace is Vermeil chain in abstract shapes. Vermeil is Sterling Silver base with 14 kt gold overlay and is "scratch"-finished, for a matte look. The quartz stones in the centers of the larger links were purchased in Minas Gerais when I was living in Brazil 1968-1970. They have been drilled to accept eye links (gold-filled) and linked to the large links so as to fill the space in the center. The colors of the stones are carnelian, rose quartz, green serpentine, and a transparent white.

Because of its length there was no need for a clasp and the necklace can be worn with any of the colors adjusted to the front.

This abstract chain is very much "in" at the moment and can be elegant or casual as you choose.
