This amazingly intricate old primitive hand-made brooch features a very three-dimensional double representation of the Hindu goddess Kali. It is made of a brass-toned alloy and decorated with rounded pieces of smooth and shiny turquoise-blue and coral-orange opaque glass. There is only one of these pieces missing and it's a tiny round one. The back has an open S-clasp, which is a bit too tight but can be bent as desired. Measures 2 1/4" tall by 2 1/8" at widest. Good to very good condition. Maker and age unknown.
