Even if you don't collect Trifari, you might want to consider this for a wedding or Anniversary gift. Perhaps Valentine's Day? It's so romantic.
This details on this 1950s pin are remarkable in every way. There are two interlocking hearts on the back of the carriage that are surrounded by clear white rhinestones. The coachman has a ruby red cabachon head. There are two sapphire blue rhinestone torch lights on either side of the carriage. The center of each wheel is an emerald green cabachon. Finally, there is a red rhinestone that forms the lantern which hangs from the bar between the wheels.
It is base metal with gold plating and bears the Crown Trifari mark on the back. It measures 1 3/4" tall and 1" wide.
This pin was reissued later by Trifari, but the later editions paled in comparison with this version. I'm noting this because you may see reproductions of this piece and wonder about the price discrepancies. That's because the later editions were done with all white rhinestones and just don't compare to this issue of the piece.
NOTE: The Alfred Philippe Trifari Russian Dancers shown along side the Honeymoon Carriage Pin are listed separately.
