It is approx 17" long and closes with a push in clasp, thus making the clasp invisible.
It is made from faceted black glass -- thus giving it the look of French jet -- and the link findings are gilded brass.
This piece has a few minor flaws, such as tiny flea bites that can be seen upon close inspection, but is in overall good and certainly wearable vintage condition.
