"Dragonfly Garden" Pure (.999) Silver and 24K Gold PMC Pendant

This pendant was created using Precious Metal Clay - pure silver and 24K gold... it is one of my most "feminine" and beautiful creations.

24K gold pieces were created separately using 24K metal clay. After being kiln-fired, a solid gold dragonfly, leaf and flower were ready to be incorporated into a silver piece (I love the combination of gold and silver). While some of my pieces incorporate gold by less-expensive means (layering with keum-boo method or painting with gold and refiring), these pieces are solid gold...

I then created a scalloped oval, which was decorated with pure silver flowers, leaves and syringe work... the 24K pieces were embedded within these components. The back of the pendant was decorated with swirls of pure silver syringe-work. The piece was then fired in the kiln to create the pure silver and to attach the gold pieces permanently.

I must admit, I don't really want to sell this one... if I could afford to keep any of my own jewelry, this would be one of my picks.

The pendant measures about 1 1/2" x 1 3/8", and includes about 14gm of pure (.999) silver and 24K gold. I have included an 18" sterling silver chain (it would also look great with a gold chain).

I am multiply-certified in Precious Metal Clay and Art Clay Silver.
