This little boulder was a labor of love... extremely time-consuming and with a delightful result, in my view! The base of the "stone" was created by wrapping precious metal clay over an actual rock, drying it, then carefully removing (by cutting) and then reconstructing and sanding... this was the original intent (a smooth stone with holes)... however, I wasn't quite satisfied, so I proceeded to punch multiple sizes and styles of curls from paper clay, and one by one, layered them on top of the ...

28 peridot briolettes, 60+ peridot beads and one HUGE peridot drop... glamorous and gorgeous... vivid green. These are some of the most beautiful gemstones that I have found. This is a 16" necklace... small and elegant. Unbelievably gorgeous... A little peridot lore... Peridot is given as a symbol of fame, dignity, and protection. Legend has it that pirates favored peridot to protect them against evil. When the peridot was set in gold it also protected the wearer from terrors in the night.

Labor of love... pure silver (Precious Metal Clay - .999 silver) base beads were kiln-fired... then bronze clay was used to create spinning accents around each bead (then fired again)... creating 5 gorgeous, unique textured beads. Approximately 22 grams of pure silver and bronze (mostly silver) were used. I oxidized with liver-of-sulfur to bring out the details. I have added a 22" sterling chain and clasp. About 40 grams of pure (.999) silver, glass cabs, a touch of resin... dragonflies, sterling jump-rings and a custom-designed chain (doubled with a sturdy sterling lobster clasp)... make up this one-of-a-kind, couldn't be duplicated, creation made using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). I used multiple textures and patina (liver-of-sulfur) to bring out the detail. The back of this piece is ALMOST as delightful as the front... Hours and hours of hand-beading went into creation of this gorgeous Flag-boot bag, based on a pattern by Chris Manes. The boot portion of the bag measures approximately 5 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide. Hours and hours of hand-beading went into creation of this gorgeous double-sided bag... A standing bird adorns one side and it's flying away on the other! The neck opening for this piece measures at about 26". The bag measures about 5 1/2" tall (including 3" of beaded fringe) by 2" wide. This piece has to be FELT to be believed... silky smooth... this is a true collectible item - one of the most gorgeous bags that I have ever seen. Colors are green, blue, aqua, black and gold, with white accents.
