Collectibles:Kitchenware
This type of carving set was quite popular late 19th to early 20th century. This set looks like it was well used and the knife shows evidence of a lot of sharpening. There are absolutely no makers marks or signage at all. The metal on both pieces does show some discoloration but otherwise they are in great shape and with some good cleaning, they could even be used to carve your Thanksgiving turkey.

A very common and important tool before and during World War II when people actually repaired their socks. Six varying sizes and colors of wooden darning eggs. The dark brown one on the left is 5 1/2 inches long, the little yellow one is 4 1/4 inches, the largest white one is 5 3/4 inches, the small white one is 4 1/4 inches, the large brown one is 7 1/2 inches and the black one on the far right is 5 3/4 inches. This clever tool was copyrighted in 1910 and used for measuring the chest or bust area by an Edwardian era tailor. The chipboard fits under the right arm of the person being measured and the measuring tapes are spread out around the body, one to the front, one to the back. Called the Queen City Tailor System, this one was from the company Smith & Ferguson in Cincinnati, Ohio. A round cabochon of carnelian is encased in a woven network of tiny seed beads in a variety of bronzy toned shades and sizes. A glass flower bead from the Czech Republic and gold toned leaves decorate the top of the pendant. The handwoven kumihimo cord is made from several different fibers and has a nubby feel with shades of brown, beige and white. The closure is a vermeil hook clasp. This necklace measures 21 1/2 inches.

A lovely, soft necklace of various fibers in white, green and purple that are permanently braided into a soft corded rope. Something very different! A big red sponge coral cabochon is all wrapped up in a dramatic netting and fringe of tiny seed beads and chips of coral, and backed with red ultrasuede. This necklace actually would work for man or woman, but it was designed with a man in mind. A triangular cabochon of piranha agate from Brazil is encased with a woven wrap of seed beads in browns and marigold and displayed on three chocolate brown leather thongs. The closure is a sterling silver trigger clasp with a length of chain to allow for comfort and wear at different lengths. Measures 20 to 22 inches.

A pair of silver baby shoes and a silver baby carriage will be perfect for any mothers bracelet. The shoes are 5/16 inch long and 2/16 inch side and are connected with a few links of chain. The carriage is 11/16 inches long, 1/2 inch tall and 1/4 inch wide.

In perfect condition, these cream and sugar containers were made by the Imperial Glass Co. in the 1930-40 era. They stand approximately 3 inches high, excepting the spout area of the creamer, which raises up to 3 5/8 inches.
