V.F.W. Auxiliary ring ~ LARGE blue glass ~ Sterling

This is a beautiful VFW Auxiliary ring made with a LARGE faceted piece of blue glass, along with the VFW Auxiliary emblem on top, all in a beautifully detailed sterling setting. The beautiful faceted, dark blue glass measures 3/4" in height! It is held in place with four large prongs. The emblem on top says Auxiliary V.F.W. and has an eagle in the center. It looks as though there was enameling on it, however, most of it has worn off (see picture). The ring is marked inside 'sterling' and then what looks like the letters ES. I had a hard time capturing the mark inside the band. As you can see, there is some beautiful metal work to this ring which makes it sit way up on the finger. The glass is a very deep blue color and really catches the light nicely when worn due to the way it sits on the finger. Lots of beautiful details to this antique ring. I am guessing this is quite old, due to the design. Everything about this ring is excellent, however, there is some wear on the inside of the band. Definitely nothing out of the ordinary for a ring this age. It is approximately a size 6. Please feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking.
