Streamlined yet intricate, this Florenza brooch is one of the most beautiful I have seen. An upside-down convex teardrop shape is outlined in a twisted rope of antiqued gold-tone metal. Within the outline are 17 oval glass moonstones in teardrop-shaped settings of beaded gold tone. Note that these settings have little gold-tone stems on the narrow ends, making the stones look like pale fruits. The focal point, centered with a clear rhinestone and a burst of 4 moonstone fruits, is exquisite. Two sizes of small clear rhinestones accent the moonstones. Over all, this brooch reminds me of an Indian paisley pattern. You will not be disappointed!

Brooch measures 2” north-south by 1 ½” east-west by ½” deep. All stones are pasted in, with the foiled glass moonstones being in open-back settings. The stones are in very good to excellent vintage condition. All the metal, including the brushed gold-tone back, is in excellent vintage condition. The plating on the pin stem does show some wear. The safety catch is a bit loose, but otherwise works well. It is marked FLORENZA followed by a copyright symbol in a rectangular cartouche. This beauty is in very good to excellent vintage condition.
