One of the most interesting subjects for a pendant I’ve ever seen, this rather bemused snail wonders how the heck he got here! In shiny gold tone (probably gold-plated) metal, he sports a magnificent whorled shell with concentric stripes of white enamel and gold tone metal. He is suspended from a thick flattened curb link chain which fastens with a fold-over clasp. The side view pictures show just how dimensional this plucky mollusk is. Well-made and whimsical, even a dedicated gardener would be hard-pressed to resist his charms.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a choker-length necklace—the snail will nestle at the base of the throat. Length of choker is 15”, including the clasp. The snail is 1 ¾” north-south by 1 ¼” east-west and is ¾” deep. The back side of the snail is hollow. The chain is ¼” wide and 1/8” thick. “LES BERNARD INC.” is on the back of the snail in an oval cartouche. This wonderful piece shows little evidence of wear and is in excellent vintage condition.
