Henkel & Grosse Gold Tone Mesh Knotted Ribbon Choker Necklace

This is a classic necklace by Henkel & Grosse of Germany that will never go out of style. Two flat, beautifully woven metal mesh ribbons wrap around the neck and end in a simple knot at the base of the throat. The gold tone metal is most likely gold-plate. It has a hidden, push-in box and v-spring clasp. Henkel & Grosse is an old firm with roots stretching back to 1907. They at one time made four collections per year for Christian Dior starting in 1955 and this piece certainly reflects couture quality!

Length--16 ½". Width--1/2". Width of Knot--3/4". Signed "Grosse" with a crown over the "G" and followed with a copyright symbol. I can find very little wear to this necklace and it is in very good to excellent vintage condition.
